Softare upgrade for Thomson DTH210/220

This is a software upgrade for the DVD-players Thomson DTH210 and DTH220.
It's dated 2002-11-27 (021127), and it made my DTH210 play SVCD.

There is of course the risk of destroying your DVD-player, so don't hold me responsible if your player stops working.
It worked fine for me, though. The manual which came with my cd said "Software upgrade for DTH210 & DTH220",
though I've never tried it on the DTH220. Please let me know if you make it work on this player.

Download it here: DTH210.nrg (This is an image of the upgrade cd made in Nero 6.0).

How to do the upgrade:
1  Turn the DVD-player on with the remote (do not have a disc inside).
2  Wait until "No Disc" is shown on screen.
3  Press "7", "6", "0". (A menu will appear).
4  Press "1" for doing the software upgrade.
5  Press "open/close" on the remote, and hold it until "open" is shown in the player's display.
6  Put the upgrade-cd in the player.
7  Press "open/close" in the remote to close the tray.
8  The screen wil now turn black. Don't do anything until coloured bars appear on screen (about 30-120 sec).
9  When the bars appear, pull out the player's electric cord.
10 Wait for about 10 seconds and insert the cord again.
11 Turn on the player again with the standby-button on the remote.
12 Choose language.
13 Remove the software upgrade cd.

Congratulations! You now have the newest software version available (and probably the last to ever be made).

Some people have told me about problems playing burned DVD's.
I have allways used Verbatim DVD+R 4x, and I've never had any problems with playback.
